Ha...ha... I am still in the holiday mood. I am just joking. You should get your cat something that is suitable for them. Don't get something that is for a dog, it will just look stupid.

If you own a dog, I think it is about time that you spend some luxury on your dog. All pets should be pampered, as they are the ones we turn to when we are down. They are the ones that will listen to every word we speak. They will stay on our lap and will not just walk away. Right?

I've been using the TurboScratcher since it came out in the early 80s as a toy and scratching item for my cats. I have NEVER paid for than about $12-13 for it, and the inserts used to be available from WalMart for 3/$9. The catnip helps get the attention for the scratching part, and once the see how much fun it is to scratch, they rarely go back to carpet or furniture. I've had more than one cat that never ONCE went for furniture because I made sure he/she had her own turbo-scratcher from the moment they arrived in my house. I have one that is a light blue from back in the 80s when everything was light blue and mauve. If left in the sun a bit too long, they do tend to get a little brittle, but while they feel a little flimsy, they are perfect for the cats. For those without carpet -- use the rubber shelf or drawer liner cut in a square or circle a couple of inches bigger than the whole toy and it doesn't move at all. I have never had any problem on any surface until I recently moved into a house with handscraped hardwood floors that are uneven. This trick worked wonders there and I suspect it would have been more stable on the tile floor in our last house as well, but our cat like to sleep on it in the window in the sun just as much as playing or scratching it.

I recommend one to any cat that I adopt out at rescue, and for my foster babies, I give one to the family that adopts them because that's what I teach them to scratch on and I don't want them developing bad habits of scratching furniture or carpet in their new home where they are often trying to cope with the unfamiliar. I've been told by my adoptive families that this was a really great thing to send esp since it was familiar and they were surprised at how much it was used. Before replacing the cardboard circle, make sure you turn it over and use both sides! if they seem a little bored and you are out of catnip, just pic up a little bag of it and it will totally get their attention again.

I wasn't too certain about buying this toy for my cats' fifth birthday. I knew that they like to chase lasers, so that wasn't the problem - my concern was that they don't like to STOP chasing lasers. Our last foray into laser pointer territory ended with me letting the laser dot "escape" through an air vent in the wall, thinking that would end the game - no, they just sat vigil under the air vent for five hours. I didn't want a repeat of that.

On the other hand, they are housecats and seem pretty bored and listless, and they definitely need the exercise, so I broke down and bought this... and could not be happier.

The best thing about this laser toy is that if has a mechanical 'servo' sound - a kind of light-pitched soft whirring and turning whenever it is in operation. The sound is soft enough to not really bother a human (although you probably wouldn't want to sit next to it while you watch TV), but it is distinct enough for a cat to hear it in the other room and come running. The practical upshot of this is that your cats figure out really quickly that the magical laser dot ONLY appears when the whirring noise turns on. So if the whirring noise goes off, the laser is gone, and they don't hunt endlessly for it. Indeed, my most active cat has figured out that the laser dot COMES from the whirring thing and will lead me to its spot on the table and demand that I push the button to activate it. Awesome.

I suppose the other best thing about this toy is that it works. It's silly that has to be a product 'plus', but such is the state of the cat toy industry these days, I suppose. But boy, does this thing work! It takes 4 AA batteries, and I recommend they be fully charged (try Eneloop batteries, you won't be disappointed) in order for the light to be as bright as possible. We have the toy sitting on a coffee table, with the adjustable mirror set to the perfect angle so that the light appears on the carpet a few feet away. The light swirls in slow patterns, jumps in fast leaps, and holds still for a few seconds so that my lazy calico can leap on it and cover it with both paws. The best part is that the cats never seem to get frustrated with not being able to 'catch' the light - they seem to recognize that it's a game, not real prey, and that's fine with me. My tuxedo always plays, but sometimes my calico just likes to lay on the floor and watch the light. Thy both come running at full speed, though, when they hear that motor start.

The toy has a fifteen minute shut-off point so you can turn this on and leave the room without worrying that your cats will make themselves sick chasing a dot for hours. It's as easy as putting the batteries in (with an easy sliding-door chamber - no tricky maneuvering required), setting it down on a table, and pressing a button to turn on. If you want it to shut off before the 15 minutes are up, you press the button again. So easy! I am seriously considering buying more of these - one for each room in the house.

Naming Your Cat

Being called by your name is very important and this importance really goes deep down to a person’s heart. This is also true for our pets. We give them names and we always see to it that it is dear, remarkable or something unique. What is the name of your pet? If you are still in search for the right name for you pet, we would be glad to share to you some points to remember so that you would be really satisfied with the choice of name for your pet.

As you go through this whole process, you would surely be able to realize the importance of giving the right name for your pets.

The most basic thing to do is choose a name that would definitely be easy for the animal to remember. This is easy-to-remember. Those names that include only a syllable or two would definitely be memorized by the pet easily. When your aim is to get close with your pet, this is one of the first few means.

When you are not in a hurry in choosing a name for your pet, it would really help if you observe it first, you could base the name of your pet to a certain habit or characteristic it has or it shows.

In naming your dogs, make sure that you do not pick something that resembles the sound of some of the dog commands like no, go, sit, roll, get and so on. Jut like for example the name of your dog is Moe, so you would say things like, “Go Moe”. This may be confusing for your pet.

Teach Your Cat To Come When Called

Many would think that this is something very hard to do, but to have your cat come when called by name is remarkably easy. Here are some tips to get you started:

1. Talk to your cat as much as you can. Encourage her to come to you, and regularly pet her and brush her. Bonding is very important, cat massage, baths and generally being on good terms is important.

2. Pick a special dry snack that she likes. It must be different to her regular dry food and only used for this (don't give it to her at any other time until she's mastered this). Make certain it is nutritious. I suggest a dry, crunchy snack that is also good for the teeth.

3. Pick a special word, such as "snack" or "treat." It must be a word she will associate only with the special snack. This is creating an "anchor" (a trigger).

4. Use your special word during her next snack time. In her presence, place one piece of the food in her empty dish and say the special word.

5. Say the word again (and be sure to say it in the same way as before) after she eats the first piece. Place another piece of the food in her dish and say the special word again.

6. Walk away. If she is giving you "I am really starving" cries, say your word again and give her one more piece. Then walk out of the room.

7. Repeat the procedure after about 4 minutes. Cats learn very quickly when they are motivated and have a strong bond with you.

8. Follow this procedure for the next several days.

9. Once your cat is coming every time you say the special word, start only giving the food treat every so often and instead give lots of attention (whatever she likes such as a pet) for a few minutes. Then let her go and repeat the process a few minutes later.

10. If you've done the above right, and you've done the bonding exercises in the training manual, your cat should now be associating affection from you with the special word. Now you can use the word and she should come AND each time she sees or hears you nearby she will be more affectionate because she's reminded of all the affection you've given her in the past.

Don't forget, it is to be a small snack, not a small bowl of dry food. Otherwise, your kitty might gain unwanted weight. Be patient and follow the above exactly otherwise you will confuse your cat. Use the special word daily, not only when you want to find the cat for a trip to the vet or when it is bath time. On those occasions, give her the snack and try to allow a few minutes before following through on your hidden motive.

Another little secret is that if you can whistle, most cats will respond. Usually, a very loud high-pitched whistle (as if to say, "Here, boy"), repeated over and over until the cat comes to you is very effective. Eventually, your cat will come after only 1 or 2 whistles. However, again this is based on a strong bond being in place.

It's important to note that the bond is most important because then your cat will WANT to come to you whenever you give it the chance. This is why some people find that if I want her to come to them, or sit on their lap, all they have to is pat their leg with their hand, and tell her to come, and she hops up on their lap or come to them.

A way to do this is to show her the brush. (Assuming your cat loves to be brushed) because when you show it to her, she'll run over to you.

If your cats are outside and you can't find them, if you shake their "dry food" jar and they may well come running right away. To make this more powerful, every time you feed your cat make the same "shake" noise in front of them or when they can hear, just before you feed them.

How does the above work?

Well basically what you are doing is conditioning your cat to associate two things. (The special word with the treat for example). When this happens a few times, your cat learns that when the trigger happens, the other thing should happen. (For example, "when I hear the special word and I come, I get a treat").

This means from then on you can say the special word and the cat will come running because it thinks it will get a treat. Once your cat ALWAYS does the desired behavior, (in this case comes when you say the special word), you can change the special word for their name, if you know how.

A Cool Black Camaro That Perfectly Fits A Cool Black Cat

A cat does not drive. Even if it is a cool black cat. There is no way it can see the road. A cat is too short :) hah! But ... for a black cat owner, a cool black Camaro would surely turn heads.

What do you think? I have eying this car for quite some time already. Since the first time a yellow Chevy Camaro played BumbleBee in the blockbuster movie - Transformers. Two doors, powered with a 304-horsepower direct-injected 3.6-liter V6 engine and the Camaro delivers 25 mpg in EPA-rated highway fuel economy. You could also go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds.

From the look of if, I actually don't need to make any changes to the car in term of cosmetics or performance. The Camaro is already perfect as it is. Maybe a slight changes here and there for long term benefit. Maybe change the car air intake to something that can last longer. Just a simple wash to clean it rather periodically replacing it.

Hmmm ... still thinking about it, but already planning to make some minor changes. The car is really cool. However, the price of the Camaro has always been a factor. The starting price is USD22,680.

Maybe i should get an exotic breed female cat. Get it pregnant, sell the kittens for my Black Camaro fund. How about that? Nah .. I don't think so. Actually I have been saving a little, just a few thousands to go. If everything goes as plan, by January next year I could afford on. And while waiting for that time to come, I am really praying very hard that someone who currently owns one, just simply hate it, buys another car and sell me his one for half the price.

As with everything, there are a number of myths surrounding cats and their health. If you want to be sure to provide the best health care to your cat, it is important learn the difference between true health facts and the myth. When in doubt, you should call your vet.

First and foremost, some people believe that spaying a female cat is not always the best choice. This is false, unless your cat has specific medical conditions, as diagnosed by your vet, that make the surgery risky. In majority of cases, cats suffer and are more at risk when having a litter of kittens. It is not true that a cat needs to have a litter before spaying, and it is not true that neutering your male cat will cause depression. In a female cat, fixing can prevent cancer, ovarian cysts, and a number of other health problems. In a male cat, it will prevent unnecessary roaming and fight, which can also help to keep your cat healthy. Beyond that, there are hundreds of cats without good homes. If you really want kittens, go to your local shelter, because they often get litters that need good homes or foster parents.

Another myth about cats is that they cannot be happy or healthy if he or she does not have access to the outdoors. This is not true. If an older cat is suddenly confine, he or she may be very unhappy, but a cat that has grown up indoors can be very happy and healthy. Make sure that you provide lots of stimulating toys and some climbing towers for exercise, but don’t worry that your cat is somehow growing up unnaturally. Of course, you can use gates and leashes to take your cat outside in special cases. It is important to remember that your cat is naturally a carnivore, so if he or she does not go outside where killing mice and other small animals can be done, you’ll need to provide protein to meet dietary needs.

One of the scariest myths is that cat’s shouldn’t be vaccinated. A few years ago, there was a scare amount VAS in cats, or Vaccine Associated Sarcoma. However, vaccinations are crucial in your cat’s life, and your cat’s vet should be able to tell you which ones are absolutely necessary. Seizures And Your Black Cat

There are many reasons why cat experience seizures, which are convulsing fits. As with any medical condition, you should see your vet is any health problems arise in any of your pets. When you have a cat for a pet, it is important that you are responsible for keeping him or her as healthy and happy as possible. He's happy and you will be happy.

Seizures are not always the same in every cat. They can occur at any time, and often have symptoms like loss of consciousness, contractions of the muscles, involuntary bodily functions, non-responsiveness, hallucinations, running in circles, and viciousness. You cat may or may not recognize you if he of she is going to have a seizure or after the seizure occurs. There are three main phases of seizures. In the pre-ictal phase, the cat may “know” a seizure is going to happen. He or she may appear nervous, hide, or find you and cling to you. Your cat may also be very nervous and tremble. This may last for up to a few hours, but in some cases, only lasts a few seconds. The ictal phase is the actual seizure. In this phase, the cat usually falls to its side and seems paralyzed. The body shakes uncontrollably and the head sometimes draws backwards. Your cat may lose control of bodily functions. Usually this phase will not last more than five minutes, and immediately afterward, he or she enters the post-ictal phase. You cat may experience temporary blindness, confusion, nervousness, and disorientation during this period.

If your cat has a seizure, do not panic. Unlike humans, cats cannot swallow their tongues, so keep your hands away from his or her mouth at all times. There is nothing you can do to stop the seizure, so simply prevent the cat from falling or otherwise hurting him or herself during the seizure and afterwards.

Immediately call your vet. In most cases, seizures are caused by epilepsy, which is treatable and usually not damaging to your cat, but other medical conditions may also occur. Your vet can help your cat by doing a physical examination, studying his or her blood and urine, and doing an electrocardiogram to rule out more serious liver, heart, kidney, and blood disease. Your vet can prescribe medications to help prevent future seizures and talk to you about ways to minimize the harm done to your cat during seizures. Even if he or she has seizures, you cat may be able to live along and healthy life with the proper care.

When is a Worm not a Worm?

Ringworm is a typical skin disease that affects many cats. This medical condition is actually not caused by worms at all, but rather by a fungus. The sores on the skin due to ringworm fungi are circular, which led to the belief that a curling worm under the skin caused this disease. However, there are no worms involved. If you believe that you cat may have ringworm, make sure that you have him or her see a vet to clear the problem.

Ringworm is also called dermatophytosis. There are four species of fungi that cause ringworm in a cat, and because some of these organisms are so well adapted to a cat’s body, about 20% of cats have ringworm and show no outward signs of the disease. Ringworm commonly infected the dead skin, nails, and hair on an organism, using the keratin in the tissue as food.

Both genetics and environment influence the development of ringworm in cats. For example, research has shown that certain cat species develop the disease more readily. Ringworm spreads quickly between cats, so those illegally or even legally breeding cats may find this a problem. Ringworm caused the hair to break off at the skin and may be itchy.

Is there such thing as over-grooming disorder? Yes.

Over-grooming is a stress related condition. Over-grooming can be compared to obsessive-compulsive disorders in humans. Damn these cats, why do they have what we have? ha.. ha.. :) Anyway, this is one of the medical condition that may look harmful, but actually over-grooming can really take a tool to your black cat's health. It is dangerous and if there's any symptoms, you need to take your cat to the vet immediately.

Why It Happens:
The main factor for over-grooming is when there's a big change in yout cat's life. New pets. A new kitten maybe? Or maybe now that you are married, there's a new baby. Moving to a new home? The key point here is change, especially your affection to your cat.

How To Spot The Symptoms:
Over-grooming takes place with the cat excessively licks or pulls out fur. Common areas are at the inner thighs and forelegs.

If you see bald spots, especially in these areas, the first thing you need to do is call your vet and set an appointment. Bald patches in the fur can be caused by thyroid problems, fleas, mites, ringworm, or bacteria. Rule these out first, as these can be easily diagnose by your vet.

If your cat is suffering from over-grooming, there is a few things that you can do. Firstly, try to identify the changes. What triggered it? Are you too busy with work that you forget to spend more time with him? Or is the new place you move in to nosier than the previous.

Secondly, try to distract him from grooming for a while. Spend more time to play with him. Get him a new toy and take him wherever you go.

You vet can also recommend certain medications to help. Like humans there are anti-depressant or anti-anxiety medications for cats.

I post about hairballs before, but one funny question I received earlier this month is, "How cat gets hairballs problem"

Black cats don't like water. Trust me on this. If you are new to cats, bathing is the last thing you would want to teach your cat. Although they don't like water, they like being clean at all times. Funny isn't it?

They stay clean by licking their fur. Cats get hairballs mainly because they spend so much time cleaning themselves. Since cats also sheds, some of the hair may get swallowed during the cleaning process and end up in their stomachs.

Usually, the hair passes naturally through the cat’s system, but sometimes the hair becomes entangled and entwined in the stomach.

This is the problem. When a hairball that is too large to pass through the system, the cat vomits the hairball. Taa Daa! :) Horrible hairballs problem.

If your cat needs surgery, for whatever reason, there are multiple steps you can take to help your cat with this process. There are three main classifications of surgeries.

First, elective surgeries are those that you choose to have done, but that do not have to be done. Spaying and neutering fall into this category.

The second kind of surgery is called non-elective, and these are surgeries which have to be done for your cat’s survival, but which you schedule.

Lastly, there are emergency surgeries, that are done quickly and as your pet needs them, such as if your cat is hit by a car. If your cat is having elective or not elective surgery, there are ways to prepare for this, and if your cat is recovering from any type of surgery, you can do certain things in your home to make this easier.

First and foremost, when your cat is going to have surgery, it is usually best for this to happen when your cat has an empty stomach, unless your vet indicates otherwise. The most common response to the anesthetics used is vomiting, so your cat will have fewer problems if his or her stomach has no food in it. If you deny your pet food for about 12 hours before the surgery, most of the food in the stomach will be gone. In most cases, your cat having access to water is fine. If you have other pets in the house, you may need to confine your cat to one room so that he or she doesn’t eat from other dishes.

When your kitty goes into surgery, remember that any number of things may go wrong. You’ll be responsible for the vet bill, even if it is higher than the estimate. After the surgery, it may take a day or even longer for your cat to be awake and functioning. You may also be looking at a few days—sometimes more—in the vet hospital for recovery. You should visit during the hours allowed, and volunteer to help feed or care for your cat. This will let your cat know that you have not abandoned him or her.

When you bring your cat home, follow all instructions completely. Your cat may need multiple medications daily or a special diet. Your cat may also not be allowed outside for a certain amount of time. For cats with any kind of incision, assume this to be at least a week or two, which may be difficult if your cat is used to going outside often. If your cat’s fur had to be clipped or shaved, keep in mind that he or she is probably colder than normal, so it may be a good idea to provide extra blankets warmed in the dryer or a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel. Remember, your other cats will need attention too. By making sure that your house is safe and loving, you can keep all of your cats happy after surgery.

Moving can be a difficult situation with which to deal for all member of your family, including your cat. If you are moving in the near future there are a number of things that you should consider in order to make sure that your cat’s health is not compromised. First, when you are packing for the move, it might be a good idea to confine your cat to a single room or to have a friend of family member watch your cat for the day. Movers are often caring very heavy items, like sofas and refrigerators. Your curious kitty could also climb into the moving van or boxes and get packed away! If your cat is fully an indoor cat, the open doors while you are loading your belongings are also a worry.

About a month before you move, have your cat wear his or her collar full-time, even if you do not normally put the collar on your cat. All of his or her information should be updated and the tags should reflect your new address. When cats are confused, they often run, and a lost cat in a new neighborhood may not be able to find his or her way home very easily. If your cat needs certain medication, this can be very dangerous. By having his or her wear a collar at all times, at least until he or she gets used to the new location, you can make sure that your cat is returned home if lost.

During the move itself, don’t forget to make special accommodations for your cat. A cat carrier that is well ventilated is a necessity, and if the trip will be more than a few hours long, you’ll also need to carry food, water, and litter box. Cats that are not used to riding in cars may get sick, so talk to your vet about ways to prevent this. You can also cover the carrier with blankets to provide a bit of extra security for a stressed-out kitty when you’re in heavy, loud traffic or construction areas.

Remember, that you’ll need to find a new vet in your new neighborhood. This should be a top priority for you if you’re moving, and you should talk to your current vet about having your cat’s medical records transferred to a new location. If your cat is acting strangely at all, do not hesitate to call your vet to more tips about moving with your cat.

In warm weather, it is necessary for you to care for your cat’s health so that he or she does not become overheated. Remember, a pet is like a newborn baby. When you take your pet out during the summer, never ever leave your cat inside of a parked car, even for a short time. Cars quickly become ovens in the summertime, even when you park in the shade, or even if you have the windows cracked. Your pet will not be able to alert people in order to get out of your car safely. In as little as ten minutes, your pet could die from the heat in a parked car, and parking in the shade does little good to prevent this, since the sun continuously moves and the heat of the air alone will be bad for your pet.

When the heat index is high, keep your cats inside. Cats that are not outdoors most of the time won’t know where the cooler places to hide, or if they find these cooler places, they might not want to return home :). Hot asphalt can also wreak havoc to your cat’s health, as it can burn his sensitive paw pads. If your cat does not use a litter box and instead goes outside, make sure that he is let back inside after only a few minutes on the hottest days of the summer. Basically, if it is recommended that seniors and children stay inside, it is good for pets to stay indoors as well.

Keep your cat well groomed during the summer as well. Brushing you cat often will help get rid of the excess hair that has been shed and is weighing down the animal. If your cat has very long hair or is overweight, provide him with an air-conditioned room if possible.

As always, make sure your cat has access to clean, fresh water.

If you seek to provide the best living environment possible for your furry feline friend, it is important to know about the different household items that could poison your cat. Remember, your cat cannot resist tasty-smelling or unusual substances, nor can he or she tell you what was ingested to make him or her feel badly. Therefore, know which items you own could hurt your pet and keep these items securely in cabinets and other places your cat cannot access. If possible, keep these items out of your home altogether.

Mothballs can also make your cat sick. Ingesting this substance can cause live damage and seizures. Symptoms include vomiting, seizures, blue or brown colored gums, increased heart rate, loss of appetite, and diarrhea. If you cat has eaten mothballs or items like toilet bowl cleaner or bathroom deodorizer, call your vet immediately.

Many homes have bleach products. You’ll find bleach and Clorox mainly in the laundry room or in other cleaning supplies; however, you can also find bleach products in swimming pool supplies. Generally, household bleaches are fairly mild. Although they will make your cat feel ill, most animals are smart enough to not drink enough to kill. Signs that your cat may have drunk a bleach product include excess drooling, vomiting, and abdominal pain. If your cat seems to be in pain, smell his or her fur if possible to detect the scent of the bleach. In general, call you vet and have your cat drink large quantities of milk or water if you possibly can. Monitor your cat for bloody vomit and difficulty breathing, and wash the paws and mouth area thoroughly.

Citrus oils, which are found in shampoo, insect repellent, fragrances, and insecticide are very harmful to cats as well. Although these items can harm all pets, cats are more sensitive than dogs and if you treat a cat with dog products, the result could kill your pet. Signs that your cat has ingested citrus oils include that common citrus smell, drolling, falling, trembling, and weakness. Eventually, liver damage occurs, and many cats experience liver failure, resulting in death. If your cat is treated, the prognosis is good, but left untreated, this poison could be deadly.

Therefore, it is simply important to call your vet if you see anything wrong with your cat at all. Cats are creatures of habit, so if your feline seems to be acting strangely, it is best to schedule an appointment. Do what’s best for your pet and try to keep harmful products in places where they can’t be reached.

In general, a well-cared for house cat usually lives to be at least 15 years old. Some cats live to be well over 30.

Like humans, cats are no different when they get older. A 60 years old man may be as normal as when he was at 30, but another may act like a young adult while another may be dying.

However, there are things you can do to allow your cat with the chance for the longest life possible. Get your cat neutered. Statistics show that neutered cats live longer. They are calmer, stay closer to home and less exposed to dangerous situations and disease. Good diet is also important. Make sure that you are buying cat food that is appropriate for your cat’s age.

As you cat gets older, certain medical conditions may cause you to make special considerations for your cat. These include reduced sensory perception, slow reaction, decreased tolerance to extreme temperatures, easily infected, arthritis and joint stiffness, liver and kidney problems, digestion problems, weaker bones, cancer, muscle weakness, memory loss, high blood pressure, and irritability. I told you already, right? They are no different to humans :)

Along with a good diet, promote healthy amounts to exercise in your cat. Youger cat will ask you to play with him, if he doesn't do this anymore then you may have to start it. Take your cat outside and play with him everyday. Get new toys. Old cats may spend a lot of the day sleeping, which is fine. So don't worry. However, if you are overly concerned, talk to your vet.

Do take your cats for regular checkups and groom him regurlarly. Give him the massage that he loves so much.

Take good care of him and I am sure that you pet will be a part of your life for a very long time.

Cold and The Black Cat

You cat definitely (except if it is a Siamese) has more hair than you do. Although your cat may have a furry coat, cold weather can be highly dangerous and if you leave your pet outside, in the cold for too long, he may show signs of hypothermia. Hypothermia can sometimes lead to death.

Don't do these:

During the winter, if you are the person who lets your black cat to adventure outdoor, it is advisable to only let your cat out for a short period. Especially for smaller cats, cats with less hair, or cats returning to health after an illness.

If the weather is cold, even if you are indoors, dry you cat immediately if he gets wet and never let your cat go outside if he is wet.

Hypothermia is a medical condition when the body temperature drops too low for the organs to function the right way. Frostbite often occurs in the extremities. This is because, in order to keep the important organs as warm as possible, the body will begin to shut down unnecessary body parts. Your cat may have hypothermia if he is shivering, breahting and moving slowly.

In this situation, it is important to warm up your pet:

Bring your cat into your warmest room and wrap him in warm blankets. You can do that by putting the towel in the dryer for a few seconds or use warm water bottles wrapped in a washcloth.

You could also use hairdryers. Use a low setting and be careful not to get too close to your cat.

Once your cat starts to warm up, a warm bath could be very helpful, but if you are planning to take him out to the vet, and the whether is still cold, this may not be a good idea.

Oral disease is often an indication of other more serious health problems. For example, it is common for a cat with feline leukemia virus (FeLV) to have oral health problems. Dental conditions are also commonly found with feline immunodeficiency virus and feline calicivirus. Therefore, if your pet is have dental problems, you need to see a vet right away about these conditions to make sure they are symptoms of a much more serious disease.

Cats can also accidentally break teeth. This can be a result of a fall, a fight with another cat or other animal, or biting into something too hard to chew. Usually, the upper canine tooth will be fractured. This is the tooth in your cat’s mouth that looks like a large fang. If this is fractured, your cat may or may not be in pain. The first symptom of this kind of a fracture is continuous sneezing.

Overall, oral health is important in all mammals. Cats are susceptible to a number of dental disease and problems, just like humans. By taking your cat to the vet often and asking about oral health, you can make sure that you are providing the best health care foods and tools for your feline friend.

BLACK CAT is about Train Heartnet. Train Heartnet is known as the Black Cat for his quick reactions to attacks and his title as Number Thirteen as member of the secret society Chronos. He is an unbeatable master gunman, a cold and unfeeling killer until he meets Saya, a bounty hunter, or "sweeper". She teaches him the value of a human life, and that one should live in order to repent for one's mistakes rather than die because of them. Through her, Train learns to love and care for other people as he too becomes a sweeper and travels with his partner Sven and the mysterious girl Eve.

A fight not only cause injuries, but cats will fight to the death if they feel threatened. Fighting also spread diseases like the FeLV virus, which can be fatal. Neutering your cat will not stop the aggressiveness totally, but it will prevent your cat from actively seeking fights.

Vasectomies are not done with male cats. Rather, the simple neutering procedure will remove the male reproductive organs. Help make the world free of homeless cats.

6. Lifelong cover. In pet health insurance, this happens when the insurer pays you for your pet's treatment with a fixed amount, every year, for as long as the disease that it has plagues your pet.

Ok, lets get back to your new black cat :)

If you have been going through my post, you will notice that I wrote a lot of tips on raising your own cats (well, sometimes I just put up an article which I found interesting :) )

Raising a cat is not difficult. It's very easy and most of the time it is very rewarding. The important part is to schedule some time for your cat. It's a living thing and needs attention. From my point of view, you can find all that in the raising a cat category.

If you are ready to get your new black cat, read every articles and then .. when you are done, don't forget about pets buying guide. Python Is Not A Suitable Pet When You Have A Black Cat Around

Pythons are large snakes found in India, East Indies, Africa and Australia. They live in rugged tropical regions that have heavy rainfall and forests, or some type of low, dense growth. They belong to the python and boa family, Boidae. Pythons are coldblooded; they have the same temperature as the environment. They continue to grow all their lives, getting bigger and bigger each year.

The world’s longest known python, sighted at the dense forests of Indonesia, is a Reticulated Python measuring 49 feet [15 meters] long. And the shortest is the Anthill Python, which measures a little more than 2 feet [0.6 meter].

All pythons can climb and swim. Some pythons are truly beautiful to look at. Like the Carpet Python which resembles an intricately woven oriental carpet, with its solid velvety skin speckled with bright yellow markings; the stunning Green Tree Python which is bright green with subtle white patches; or the Indian python, with its bold pattern of dark brown blotches, edged in yellow, on a light brown background.

Pythons are also called constrictors. Know why? Because they wind themselves around their prey and strangle them to death. It may be no consolation to its victims, but the python will not crush their bones; just squeeze them tight enough to stop their breathing. Large pythons usually eat animals the size of a house cat, but 100-pound (43.3 kilos) wild boars are eaten as well.

Pythons swallow their prey whole, head first; and not surprisingly, take several weeks to digest them. But we can breathe easy. Despite their enormous strength and intimidating size, Pythons are inoffensive by nature and do not usually attack humans. They are not poisonous either. Unfortunately for pythons, this makes them easy targets for hunters.

A python's finest wisdom is its sense of smell. They are able to smell with the aid of the "Jacobson's organ in the roof of the mouth" They dart their tongues in and out of their mouths to obtain gases from the air. The tongue brings in small particles floating in the air to this organ. Also they have special sensors at the tip of their nose to identify the heat generated by the prey. Therefore, the python can catch their prey in light or dark conditions. This allows them to hunt in dense jungles even at night.

The python doesn't chase its prey. It waits discreetly hiding, and when a prey comes close enough, grabs it with its Ainward-curving teeth. The python's top and bottom jaws are attached to each other with stretchy ligaments, which let the snake swallow animals much larger than itself. The prey cannot move away, because the more it tries to pull out, the deeper the python’s needlesharp teeth will sink and hold it even more firmly in the mouth. The python now quickly coils around the victim’s body and squeezes, not so hard as to break its bones, just tightly enough to stop its blood circulation and suffocate it to death.

Then begins the long, leisurely process of unhinging its jaw and savoring the prey; swallowing it slowly, starting with its head first. The rhythmic muscular movements will pull the prey from the mouth to the throat and to the stomach, where it’ll be dissolved and digested by strong acids.

There are 24 major species of pythons. Some are for the novice, and some strictly for the seasoned herpetologist.

There you go, while some pets can live together, you can't have these two animals together. Same like my previous post about cats and rats. They too can't live together.

Train Your Cat For Vacations

When you are going on a vacation or taking your cat out for a length of time you will want to have the cat trained to ride in a car or vehicle so that the cat is not jumping all over and over the seats.

Purchasing a pet carrier will be the first thing that you will want to do. Searching for the right carrier is another thing that you will want to do. Knowing the right size and fit for the cat will be very important to the cat and you. A carrier in which your cat will like and a carrier that easily picked up and put in the car.

The first thing that you will want to do after purchasing the carrier for your black cat is. Let the cat get use to the carrier being around. Set the carrier in the cat area for a couple of days and let the cat investigate with it. Do not push the black cat into the carrier or your cat will not want to go in the carrier. After that, you will want to play with the cat with the carrier by putting something that the cat loves to play with in the carrier and see if the cat will go in by it. Once you have the cat going in and playing with the item then you will want to start with the rewarding of small treats, for the cat. Allow the cat for a few days to do this, once the cat is comfortable and maybe laying down in the pet carrier, you will want to start with the door, not to close and lock it, by allowing the door be slightly open for a period of time till the cat is comfortable.

Once you are able to have the cat comfortable in the carrier and you may start with closing the door all the way and then locking the door. Leave the carrier in the place for a few days when doing this.

Next, you can pick up the carrier and carry your black cat gently around the house, to get the cat to be comfortable in the pet carrier with you walking. You should do this for several times a day for a few days, just so the cat is comfortable.

Now is the big day, to go for the first ride, remember that your cat has not maybe been in the car. Sounds from the car and near by cars and traffic noise will tend to startle your cat. You may want to do the first drive in a quiet area, with your cat next to you. There is music out to play while you are driving, with your cat to help the cat to relax. Talk to your cat to help it relax and assure it that everything is all right. If at anytime the cat does get frighten you will want to stop and help the cat to relax to assure there is nothing wrong. By doing this the cat will want to go back in the carrier the next time.

Remember to take treats with on the drive; this will help the cat to know that they are doing a good job and that you are keeping them safe. When your cat is doing well in the pet carrier as you are moving you can give the cat a treat to let it know they are doing a good behavior. Do not at anytime yell or do anything to startle the cat, as your cat will have a fear of the pet carrier.

Have patience and practice with training the cat for travel. Now you can pack the bags and cats items that you will need and off on the wonderful vacation with you.

Traveling With Your Cat

Whether it be by car, by train, by airplane or boat, it’s not always easy to travel with your cat. It is necessary to always arrange certain things in advance – the tickets, an adequate kennel, tranquilizers, and water – in order to assure him maximum comfort and avoid any irregular meowing during the many hours of travel…

Cat shows, week ends in the family cabin, or big vacations. For a civilized cat, the opportunities to travel are seldom missed. A worthy master who deserves to be called such will always plan ahead so that his animal experiences the transportation in the best of conditions. Certain animals are familiarized at a young age with transportation from one place to another, and they accept the situation perfectly, however others struggle with being moved around so much.

If the owner of the cat intends on staying in a hotel, he mustn’t forget to find out if his feline traveling companion will be admitted (only 1 hotel out of 6 accept clients with their pets). In all cases, always remember this precaution: to always attach an identification tag to your cat’s collar. A nervous and anxious animal will always run away quickly!

By Car

Even for a short trip, it is always preferred to use a kennel or cage. Nevertheless, is the cat is calm and reliable, you can always make an exception to the rule: the can will always be able to sit on the knees of the passengers, but the kennel must always be within reach.

If used, the kennel must be placed so that even sudden breaking, stopping or starting will not make it fall. Above all, never put the cat in neither in the trunk nor should he be left in a vehicle without sufficient air circulation or to much sun exposure, which could put him at risk for heat exhaustion. If the trip lasts several hours, give him water and let him out to relieve himself from time to time when nature calls. It’s better to not feed him too much before leaving, which could cause car sickness. Certain cats are subject to this, so it is always prudent to consult your veterinarian, who will prescribe a medicine that prevents noxiousness and that won’t cause drowsiness. If your cat is really irritated, seems uncomfortable or bothered, but is not vomiting, your cat will need a tranquilizer.

By Train or By Bus

Train and bus companies generally do not accept cat unless they are in there kennels. Certain ones, however, allow passengers to keep their cat on leash. The fees are usually minimal, consult the companies before hand.

By Plane

For cats weighing less than 5 kilograms, (a little more than 10 pounds), staying in the cabin is allowed if they are in a kennel. But each airline has it’s own rules, and can not exceed a certain number of animals allowed on the plane. It is thus necessary to plan ahead to assure oneself a spot on board. In the cargo, cats travel in kennels that can be reserved or bought from the airline. The cargo is heated and pressurized so your cat will travel in good conditions. Nevertheless, he will suffer slightly without the presence of his master. In this case, it is better to give him tranquilizers to ease his anguish.

By Boat

Ships are not usually well equipped for animal transportation. Usually, animals would travel in cages. In certain boats, animals are tolerated in the cabins. For a small sea voyage, by ferry for example, you can generally use a portable kennel. Once again, there are not rules, it is best to consult the company. Black Cat and Ear Mites

Ear mites (Otodectes cynotis) are very small crab-like parasites found in the ears of animals. These parasites are very common in cats, especially those who go outdoors. Cats that are affected by ear mites will become uncomfortable and itchy. Ear mites are easy to see, too. A cat that has ear mites will have what looks like oily black dirt inside the ear. These parasites live in the ear canal, just on the surface. The ear mites feed on tissue and debris inside the ear.

If you notice your cat scratching their ears or shaking their head and see dirty ears, it is likely that you cat is suffering from ear mites. It is important to treat your cat for these parasites. They are highly contagious among cats and if you have multiple cats, it can spread quickly. If one of your cats gets ear mites, carefully check all of your cats for this problem. Also, ear mites can be passed to and from other species including dogs. Ear mites can also affect humans, so treatment is essential.

Ear mites can cause inflammation in the ears. If they are left untreated, these pesky parasites can lead to bacterial and yeast infections and can rupture the eardrum. Many times, ruptured ear drums in cats can lead to seizures and eventually deafness. If you suspect that your cat has ear mites, take your cat to the vet. There are treatments that can help your cat get rid of the ear mites.

The best prevention of ear mites is to keep cats indoors and to treat your cat regularly with flea prevention. There are several types of flea prevention treatments that your vet can prescribe. These are usually given to your cat once a month and will kill fleas, eggs and prevent ear mites. Treating just the ears is usually not enough to get rid of ear mites. Because ear mites can survive off of the cat, it will be necessary to treat your home, the cat's fur and the environment, such as bedding, where your cat spends a lot of time.

When you take your cat to the vet for ear mites, there is a type of eardrop that can be used to kill the ear mites. This is usually given to your cat two to three times a day for several days. Before treatment begins, it will be necessary to thoroughly clean the cat's ear. It is recommended that a vet do this instead of doing it at home.

Prescription ear drops are then given to the cat. This will kill the ear mites and will also prevent a second outbreak. Because ear mites can live for three weeks, prescription drops are usually given for at least a month to prevent further outbreaks. Injections can also be given at the vet's office for treatment.

Ivermectin is another treatment for ear mites in cats. This is a relatively new way to treat ear mites. The FDA, however, does not approve this treatment, for treating ear mites. Many vets find Ivermectin to be very effective for treating ear mites and should tell you that it is not officially approved for this use. This medication is the same medicine used to treat heartworms in dogs.

There is a treatment that can be done at home if you are extremely careful with your cat's ears. This treatment should not be used though, if the ear mite outbreak has caused an ear infection. If your cat has an ear infection, he or she will usually have a strong odor in the ears. For treatments at home, use a small amount of baby oil or mineral oil to clean out the cat's ears. Put a small amount of the oil on a cotton ball or swab and gently wipe the cat's ear out. Be very careful not to put the cotton swab inside the ear canal. This can cause serious damage to your cat's ears. This treatment should be continued twice a day for at least a month.

When treating your cat for ear mites, it is very important to seek the advice of your vet before beginning any treatment. Most of the time, your vet will want to examine your cat before proceeding with any course of treatment. A thorough exam can rule out more serious problems like ear infections that should be treated differently than ear mites. Most of the time, your vet will ask that you bring your cat back to the office for another exam after the treatment is complete. This is to make sure that all of the ear mites are gone and reduces the chances of re-infection.

The Myths Of A Cat

Because of their mysterious nature, many myths and old wives' tales circulate about cats. Here are a few of the more common ones and the facts behind the fiction.

Myth 1: A spayed or neutered cat will become fat and lazy. Not true! A cat's weight gain is not related to his or her reproductive status. Any cat who does not get the proper amount of exercise or who is overfed will become overweight and sluggish. Spaying or neutering is beneficial to your pet. Cats and kittens that have been spayed or neutered live longer, do not stray from home and become more affectionate.

Myth 2: My female cat must have a litter of kittens before she is spayed, otherwise, she will become unfriendly. False! Females who are spayed before they have kittens do not miss being mothers. In fact, some cats are not good mothers and may resent their kittens. One cat and her offspring can produce approximately 420,000 cats in seven years. With millions of unwanted kittens and cats euthanized in animal shelters each year, there is no reason to add to the pet overpopulation problem.

Myth 3: Cats belong outside. Indoor cats suffer or become bored if they are never allowed to go outside to hunt and explore. Not true! Indoor only cats thrive in the home. Given the proper amount of attention and affection, your cat will not miss being outside. Cats and kittens can learn to walk on leashes to safely experience the outdoors, and most are content to observe nature from a window. Cats who are allowed to roan outside do not live as long as indoor cats because they are subject to many hazards, such as traffic, diseases, and toxic poisons.

Myth 4: Cats always land on their feet when they fall. This myth is partially true. Cats have excellent reflexes and can right themselves quickly. They have a flexible backbone, and as mentioned earlier, can rotate half of their spine 180 degrees. This trait, combined with a fluid filled chamber in the ears, helps a cat to right himself if he falls. If a cat falls one or two stories, he usually will right himself and may only receive mild injuries. However, falling from three to six floors is usually fatal because the velocity from this distance is too great, although some cats have survived a seven or eight floor drop. In this circumstance, the extra time involved in the fall allows the cat to right himself, spread out his feet, and relax, thus creating drag resistance to slow him down.

Cats and kittens come in all shapes, colors and sizes. Although approximately 100 different breeds exist, they all share the same basic body structure. Nature designed cats perfectly. Their bodies, sense organs, and natural instincts enable them to hunt and survive in the wild with no help from humans. Surprisingly the domestic cat that we know and love today is not much different from his wild "big cat" cousins, the lions and tigers. Although our house cats are much smaller in size and cannot roar, they have retained many similar physical characteristics.

A Racoon Cat

It's a story that comes on a day when the national spotlight is on cats left in the wild. This is the story of a cat who thought he was a raccoon.

His name is Rocky, short for Rocky Raccoon, a name given the name by Patricia Melchi after she saw him hanging out with a family of raccoons at Tacoma's Point Defiance Park.

"I realized the kitten had gotten imprinted and was emulating the raccoons, even begging," Melchi said. "I watched him go into the bushes with the raccoons and play with them."

Some folks thought the raccoons had raised the kitten, but Melchi said he was too tame and most likely a lost or abandoned pet.

She figured the cat wouldn't last long in the wild even if the raccoons stayed with him, so she captured him and brought him home.

"Just a scaredy little cat," Melchi said. "But there's a lot of fox and coyotes down there and this thing would be instant prey, even to the owls."

She wanted to get him checked right away so we arranged for the Tacoma Pierce County Humane Society to open up early for a vet check.

"I'm going to look at his teeth first," the vet said. "He's not feral at all."

Rocky checks out OK. Now to see about getting him neutered.

This is all happening on national 'Feral Cat Cay'. Coming up on Oct. 30 in Tacoma there'll be a free spay and neuter clinic to care of those guys.

The group Coalition Humane hopes to spay and neuter 100 feral and free-roaming cats.

"We're really pleasantly surprised at how many of these ferals have been able to come in and be neutered and spayed," said Marguerite Richmond of the Humane Society.

Rocky will be there. In the meantime, he's home with Patricia to continue getting used to hanging with humans instead of rollicking with raccoons.

"Isn't he a cutie? It's okay, don't get too scared," she said to the cat.

If nobody claims Rocky, Patricia says they've already found a home for him.

The free spay and neuter clinic for feral and free roaming cats is Oct. 30 at Coalition Humane in Tacoma.

Kitten In Hot Pursuit Of A Fox

Fulham kitty turns foxy. A woman was shocked to find her kitten in hot pursuit of a fox.

Grandmother Joan Caruana, 73, of Burnthwaite Road, has been worried for over a year about the den of foxes which have taken up residence at the corner of her road near the scout hut.

After her husband Carl died on December 12 last year, her children gave her a black kitten to keep her company, but she started to worry for its safety after seeing the foxes on the prowl.

Yesterday she saw what she thought was a cat chasing a dog - but to the pensioner's surprise, the pursued turned out to be one of the local fox posse - and the pursuer was kitten Chas, who is named after her late husband.

Malaysians cats are born with straight tails but people deliberately break them when they are kittens so they grow up with bendy tails

ha..ha, of course it's false. Curly, short and other funny looking tails are the result of genetic heritage. Purebred Manx cats, American Ringtails and Japanese Bobtails all have short or hooked tails.

The original wild Siamese and Thai cats from that region inherit genes that cause kinky peculiar looking tails too. Modern breeders have opted to breed out the characteristics but the wild varieties still sports their original charming curves and hooks :)

It's entirely up to you, whether you prefer a cat with short tails, long tails, bended or straight :), but don't worry, if your kitten have straight tails, it will grow up wit a straight tail.

... and while we are on this topic, black cat is not evil :)

Sterilization and The Black Cat

Sterilization simple means: The act of making an organism barren or infertile (unable to reproduce).

Many cat owners are frightened to take their pets in to be sterilized. They are scared that their cat will be 'different' after the process, but the truth is neutered cats are just as active as unaltered cats.

With modern technology, medicine and good care, a healthy cat will be back from 'the snip' within hours (not days).

Sterilization has many benefits.
For a male cat, it means no wounds from fights, and no spraying. Un-castrated tomcats spray strong smelling urine everywhere for territory marking and this is very troublesome for the owners of indoor cats.

For the females, they don't suffer from being in heat every few months. They have a lesser risk of being bitten by an aroused tomcat. When a female is in heat, males from across the neighborhood will fight each other for the privilege of mating and things can get nasty in that process, even for the female.

We are lucky that we don't need to go through that process to have sex :P

OK, seriously, you can actually sterilize a cat at a very young age. Anytime over the age of 8 weeks, but kittens are very fragile. Between 6 to 8 months is most suitable but, the best way is to consult you vet.

Meet Shawn, the playful cat. Everytime you get close to him, if he's not used to you, he will play dead. He will only entertain you if you give him a good massage.

Worms And The Black Cat

Additional problem to a cat's health are worms. Worms are a recurring problem for most cats. It is not always easy to spot the symptoms. However, if your cat seem unable to gain weight, take him to the vet for worm testing. You could also check his stolls for something that is small and white in color which looks like grains of rice.

Roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms are the most common. Your vet will tell you that it's best to use a reliable worming treatment every three months to prevent any serious worm infection. The important thing with worms is to break the cycle, which may take more than one treatment.

Worms are a health risk and can be fatal, but properly treated can be cured effectively. Same goes to the owner :)

Cats are curios animals. They are funny too sometimes. One minute they want to be petted and stroked, the next they are taking a swipe at your hand and acting like you are a stranger. Some people love the conundrum of pet cats, but there are others who hate them - black cat or whatever colors :) Lovable, regardless.

Love them or hate them, they are a still a common pet and have a whole host of potential health issues that will require veterinary care.

For those who never owned a cat before, you might think that having a cat as a pet is easy. Just visit a friend who have one. You will find that their cats are always active, playful and adventurous. Yes, that is true, but as any normal living creatures, the do have health problems. Cat health is an important factor to consider before getting yourself a cat.

But don't worry, I am just highlighting only. With good care, and a good vet, they will always be in good health.

Recent revelations in scientific research have also provided pet owners with the means to save their beloved family pets from diseases that would have caused the pet to be euthanized in the past.

Worse case scenario is to get a pet health insurance which works the same as human health insurance :) At least to cover your bills.

Cats that have a respiratory illness often cough, sneeze, have runny noses, discharge from the eyes and are listless. Just like humans, this is contagious and should be kept separate from other cats. Some might have a fever. To threat this problem is to encourage your cat to drink lots of water.

Abscesses

Some cats are prone to getting abscesses. As the pus gathers a bump will appear on the cat’s skin. Take your black cat to a vet.

Hairballs

Hairballs are among the most common of cat health problems. When cats groom themselves, loose hair might be swallowed by them. Hairballs can occasionally pass into a cat's intestines and cause a blockage which can be a big problem,Removal may require surgery. To minimize this, brush your cat daily.

Worms, Lyme disease, overweight, obesity and they got everything :)

Remember one thing, cats are just like people, you take care of them, they'll be ok. Kitten care should be done early. Start them young. Taking your cat for a regular check-up with the vet, and keeping all vaccinations on schedule will help. It's easier to introduce all this at the early stage of a feline's life.

Prevention is the first line of defense for most feline illnesses. Do it right and your cat will have a long and healthy life. Take care.

Black Feline Co-Owner

When I registered this blog, I didn't know that it previously belongs to a lady. Not my mistake, who asked her to unregistered her blog and then tell me that this is hers. I didn't register by mistake either. I was looking for black cat, but it wasn't available, so I tried black feline. I was lucky, the name was still available.

I didn't know that when you unregistered a blog, another person can register it for himself. Anyway, what's done is done. I am not going to give this back to her either.

For the next few months, years maybe, I will be busy with my study. However, a friend, who helped me with blogging, will be taking care of this blog for a while. Whatever plans he has for it, I don't know. He can do as he pleases :), as long it stays related to cat, be it about black cat or white cat. He has already started posting a few post.

How soon will I be back? Not sure, maybe blogging is not for me.

Cat Soup is an award-winning animated short film directed by Tatsuo Sato, inspired by the work of manga artist Nekojiru. The surreal black comedy follows Nyātta, a humanlike kitten, on his travel to the land of the dead and back, in an effort to save his younger sister's soul. This animated short film is more to a work of art than an anime and it's an extremely difficult film to describe with almost nonexistant dialogue.

See, another cat anime, but this time it's not in the name. Anyway, this anime is not for kids. It's for the more mature audience as it may contain contain sex, drugs, and extreme graphic violence.

Share Your Cat Photos Online

I was showing my father in-law on how to use my digital camera one day, when out of nowhere Felix jump onto our bench looking for attention. Typical for a cat, if you know what I mean. Felix is our neighbor's cat. He is quite old already, but I can't recall his exact age. It never met Jake or Hunter before, too bad. They could be great friends.

Say hello to Felix. I took about thirty photos, here's 3 of them. Sorry, I'm not a pro with cameras :)

Anyway, I was looking for a site to upload my photos. Kind of like having online photo albums. However it is not necessarily for cat pictures only, just pictures/photos in general. I found PhotoFun.com. Registration was fast. You just need a user name and email to start. Uploading photos was very fast too. It was faster than uploading with blogger.

This is the photos I uploaded.

You could also create photo books, photo cards, business cards etc. I didn't have the time to check out all the functionalities yet, but I found out that not only you can share your photos online but you can also order the prints and for a limited time only, you will get the first 50 prints (of size 4X6) for free.

Quite a good deal, don.t you think?
