Cats originated from Asia and there are 37 known species of felines in the world today. Feline, the word, means .. belonging or pertaining to the cat family, Felidae , which includes the lions, tigers, jaguars, and wild and domestic cats. Feline also suggest of a cat stealthiness.
The most familiar feline is the domestic cat or house cat.
